A three-week developmental all-girls mountain bike program meant to help young girls fall in love with the sport of mountain biking as well as the alpine environment and terrain. Gravity Girls is intended to introduce biking skills and drills while developing confidence on the bike and beyond in a supportive all-girl environment. Girls will be taught by an all-female, BICP certified staff and learn new progressions and tricks on their bike, that can be taken anywhere on the mountain, and life skills, that can be taken anywhere off the mountain.
EQUIPMENT:
Athletes must* bring their own mountain bikes and helmets. Helmets, knee & elbow pads are required.

An advanced three week mountain bike program with certified BICP coaches meant to improve and perfect the downhill skills and techniques of youth riders who are already skilled and confident on their mountain bikes. In order to participate in this program, riders must be able to climb comfortably and already ride Intermediate trails. Over the course of this three week progressive clinic athletes will focus on improving existing skills and use drills, and progressions to increase their skill level across all-terrain on their mountain bikes. Riders, will not just learn the basics but master them and learn new tricks to become an even better rider with Downhill Devils!

During this 3-week program, women will learn from an all-female BICP-certified bike staff, while surrounded by other supportive women who also want to improve their skills on two wheels. Learn the fundamentals or improve what you already know on the extensive trail systems in Reno or Carson City. Women will learn and practice proper body position, bike mechanics, technique & tactics to tear down and across the mountain confidently like the bad boss that you are! Progressions will be introduced to enable female athletes to both learn and practice under the guise of expert female riders. This clinic is available for women of all skill levels and will be catered to varying abilities if needed. 1/2 day clinic over a 3-week period with 9 hours of total instruction.

A one day clinic for women focused on improving fundamental skills on the mtn bike and taking them to the next level! Riders will learn from an all-female BICP-certified bike staff, while surrounded by other supportive women who also want to take their skills on two wheels to the next level. Improve upon your fundamentals while working on the proper technique and bike/body positions for jumps, drops and more technically advanced trails. Attendees will also learn to break down the best line choice through rock gardens and technical sections. All drills, skills and movements practiced in this course will help women who already feel fairly confident on their bike on beginner trails learn to have that same confidence on intermediate and advanced trails.

A four-week inline skating program preparing individuals with exercises and progressions specifically geared to improve their alpine skiing while also improving their skills on skates! The skills required for skating are extremely similar and applicable to alpine skiing. Proficiency in one lends to the other. This program is a transfer learning program geared toward improving ones skating ability to become a better skier. Drills and skills will be coached to improve skate techniques that have direct application to snow. This Skate to Ski program is supported by Rollerblade and endorsed & taught by their Skate to Ski program and ambassadors.

A four- week inline skating program for women with the goal of having fun, exercising and learning effective skating, and by default, ski technique in a supportive and collaborative environment. Women will learn exercises and progressions specifically geared to improve their alpine skiing while also challenging themselves and having fun on skates! The skills required for skating are extremely similar and applicable to alpine skiing. This program, led by certified Skate IA instructors and PSIA certified ski instructors is geared toward improving ones skating ability to become a better skier. Drills and skills will be coached to improve skate techniques that have direct application to snow. A four week transfer learning program for aspiring and experienced snowboarders. This program will focus on taking the fundamentals of snowboarding and practicing them on dry boards such as one wheels, long boards & balance boards. Skills and progressions will be taught & introduced geared toward balance, coordination and agility for all board sports. Attendees will learn skills on learn skills on flat pavement, gravel and grass surfaces, then progress to terrain and trails.
EQUIPMENT:
Helmets, knee, wrist & elbow pads are required. If you do not have your own protective gear it can be provided; please email programs@skiingisbelieving.org with your sizes. Balance, power & one wheel boards are provided; however, if you have your own you should bring it.

An advanced ten-week mountain bike program with certified BICP coaches meant to improve and perfect the downhill skills and techniques of youth riders who are already skilled and confident on their mountain bikes. In order to participate in this program, riders must be able to start from the top of Sky Tavern's mountain and safely ride down an intermediate or advanced trail. Over the course of this ten-week season, athletes will improve upon existing skills and use drills, and progressions to increase their skill level across all-terrain on their mountain bikes. Master the basics and learn new tricks to become an even better rider with Downhill Devils!
EQUIPMENT:
Athletes must bring their own mountain bikes and helmets. Helmets and pads are required.

A ten-week developmental all-girls mountain bike program meant to help young girls fall in love with the sport of mountain biking as well as the alpine environment and terrain. Gravity Girls is intended to introduce biking skills and drills while developing confidence on the bike and beyond in a supportive all-girl environment. Girls will be taught by an all-female, BICP certified staff and learn new progressions and tricks on their bike, that can be taken anywhere on the mountain, and life skills, that can be taken anywhere off the mountain.

A ten-week life skills development program with the goal of instilling the values of leadership and service in pre-teen and teen youth. Children in this program will be challenged both mentally and physically as they learn to work together, solve problems and create solutions while they listen, learn and engage with one another and their leaders. This program will work in coordination with Project Discovery, Skiing is Believing, and half a dozen other non-profits from Reno to provide service-learning opportunities to help children understand the value of helping one other, giving back, volunteerism, community engagement, and taking leadership initiative.
