Mitigating injury through fun & fitness! A fitness program strategically designed to mitigate the risk of rupturing the Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) of the knee. ACL injuries are an incredibly common and serious injury occurring in skiing and 5x more prevalent among females compared to males in non-contact sports such as skiing. Program goals include improved dynamic musculoskeletal mechanics, balanced quadricep/hamstring strength, improved agility and general strength. No equipment required.
Four sessions will be offered throughout the summer that progress on skills solidified in the previous session. There will be three individual days of camp to choose from per session for guided practice, solidification and strengthening of the skills learned at camp. It is recommended that campers attend sessions in consecutive order (attend session 1 if attending session 2, etc.), but REGISTRATION IS OPEN FOR ANY DAY IN ANY SESSION.
