Skiing is Believing, with its mission of promoting, supporting & easing access to (snow) sports was founded by Meghan Ochs in 2018. In 2021, it's sister organization, The Skiing is Believing Foundation, a 501(c) (3) non profit organization, (EIN - 87-2496785) was created to support and strengthen the execution of the original Skiing is Believing organization. The Skiing is Believing Foundation is operated by an independent Board of Directors and Meghan Ochs is still the Executive Director of Skiing is Believing.
The Skiing Is Believing Foundation provides funding for scholarships, equipment, administrative support and general funding to support the youth and adults who attend Skiing is Believing programs and would not otherwise benefit from its programs. Both organizations operate with the purpose of expanding the opportunities children, and since 2021, adults, have in physical sport and exercise to create environments that challenge them mentally and physically. No one promotes, supports, and eases access to (snow) sports better than Skiing is Believing and the Skiing is Believing Foundation.
